Release note
Gaussian splat room for immersive 3DGS review
A dedicated 3DGS room hosts .splat and Gaussian .ply deliverables with Fly, Walk setup, and Tour playback—separate from the mesh-first Space room.
Gaussian splat captures need a different presentation surface than photogrammetry meshes. Version 2 adds a dedicated 3DGS room on the Mission Hub so splat deliverables stay first-class instead of being forced into the mesh Space path.
In the room today
- Upload .splat or Gaussian .ply into the 3DGS room card
- Immersive full-viewport viewing with a restrained operator shell
- Fly orbit for free look, guided Walk setup for floor-aware navigation, and Tour playback for authored stops
- Orientation stored locally per deliverable—separate from mesh Space orientation
What this is not (yet)
Interactive shared 3DGS for client links is still on the roadmap. Operators can review splat work in the authenticated room today; client-facing splat delivery will land as a separate, carefully gated step so mesh share contracts stay stable.
