Measurements on 3D deliverables

v2

Mesh Space supports distance, area, height, slope, and volume measurements on the textured model. Point-cloud measurement tools stay gated until alignment is verified.

Delivery is stronger when numbers stay attached to the same 3D surface clients are reviewing. Space now carries measurement tools on the mesh package so site quantities and checks do not have to live in a separate markup file.

On the mesh today

  • Distance, area, height, slope, and volume tools on the textured OBJ mesh
  • Measurements stored with the project—not buried in viewer orientation state
  • Layer panel controls for mesh, point cloud, annotations, and measurements

Point-cloud measurements

Point-cloud measurement UI stays off until registration is verified. Approximate runtime alignment is enough for visual review, but it is not treated as measurement-ready. Volumetrics on dense clouds remain disabled until that bar is met.
